Amount of CD14hiCD16–, CD14hiCD16lo, CD14loCD16lo and CD14loCD16– monocytes in the blood was evaluated by flow-cytometry, and galectin-2 and -9 concentration was measured by ELISA. Increase in the number of CD14hiCD16lo monocytes, differentiated from the CD14hiCD16– cells, and decrease in the content of galectin-2 and CD14lo CD16– monocytes in the blood were characteristic of TB. In COPD, an increase in the concentration of galectin-9 and the proportion of CD14hiCD16– monocytes against the background of deficiency of other their subpopulations in the blood was noted. </p>
</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>galectins</kwd><kwd>monocytes subpopulations</kwd><kwd>chronic obstructive pulmonary disease</kwd><kwd>tuberculosis</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>галектины</kwd><kwd>субпопуляции моноцитов</kwd><kwd>хроническая обструктивная болезнь легких</kwd><kwd>туберкулез</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Исследование поддержано грантами РФФИ (договор № 18-015-00160/18) и Совета по грантам Президента РФ (НШ-2690.2018.7 и МД-2788.2019.7).</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>1.
