Abstract
World Health Organization (WHO) experts issue strain recommendations to ensure effective yearly influenza vaccination. Several important “firsts” had taken place in recent years. An up to a 1-month recommendation delay puts the whole system of timely procurement of enough doses of effective and safe influenza vaccines based on up-to-date strains at risk.
