Abstract
Abstract information about intrauterine infection of the fetus and perinatal transmission of the hepatitis C virus are controversial and need further study. There are many factors that can increase the risk of perinatal HCV infection, such as viral load, obstetric factors, methods of delivery. The aim of our work was to assess the risk of perinatal transmission of the hepatitis C virus in children born to women with chronic hepatitis C and the possibility of preventing perinatal HCV infection.
