Abstract

The eff ect of IL-8 and IL-18 o the ability of circulating neutrophils to form extracellular traps (NET), contributing to the proliferation and metastasis of tumor cells, is shown. The aim of the study was to evaluate the eff ect of IL-8 and IL-18 in serum on the formation of NETs in advanced ovarian cancer. We have found that an increase in the levels of pro-infl ammatory cytokines IL-8 and IL-18 in the dynamics of progression of OC is accompanied by a decrease in the number of NETs and an increase in the index of NET formed by circulating neutrophils, which may indicate a decrease in the killer function of the latter.
