Abstract
The dynamics of the density of the spatial distribution of mast cells of the body of the womb and the content of catecholamines, serotonin and histamine during sexual cycle, pregnancy and postpartum period in rats were examined by fl uorescence-histochemical methods. The linear correlation of serotonin&catecholamines content in mast cells was kept at high level (during sexual cycle, pregnancy) or was quickly recovered (during postpartum involution) by changing of the uterus functional state. The participation of mast cells in the restoration of uterine sympathetic innervation after birth was considered. The leading role of mast cells in paracrine regulation of uterine tissue morphogenesis was assumed.
